Personalized Care for Better Sleep & Better Health

A good night's sleep plays an important role in your physical health, mental well-being, and overall quality of life.

At North Dallas ENT, we provide in-depth evaluation and personalized treatment for adults experiencing sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, snoring, and other sleep-related breathing conditions. Rather than focusing on symptoms alone, we take the time to evaluate the factors contributing to poor sleep and create a treatment plan that's tailored to your diagnosis, lifestyle, and long-term health goals.

With convenient locations in Dallas and Plano, we help patients throughout North Texas take meaningful steps toward healthier, more restorative sleep.

Why Healthy Sleep Matters

Sleep is when your body restores itself. Consistently poor sleep can affect nearly every aspect of your health, from your energy levels and concentration to your heart health and immune system.

Poor sleep has been associated with:

  • Excessive daytime fatigue
  • Difficulty concentrating and memory problems
  • Mood changes and irritability
  • Reduced work performance
  • Increased risk of cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure
  • Poor overall quality of life

Why You May Be Struggling to Get Quality Sleep

Poor sleep isn't always caused by stress or a busy schedule. An underlying sleep disorder may be preventing you from getting the restorative sleep your body needs.

Common causes of poor-quality sleep include:

  • Sleep apnea that repeatedly interrupts breathing throughout the night
  • Snoring and airway obstruction that disrupt healthy sleep patterns
  • Insomnia and frequent nighttime awakenings that prevent restorative sleep
  • Sleep-related breathing disorders that affect oxygen levels and overall sleep quality

A Personalized Approach to Better Sleep

Getting better sleep starts with understanding what's causing the problem.

At North Dallas ENT, we combine dedicated sleep medicine expertise with ENT evaluation to identify the source of your sleep concerns and recommend treatment that's right for you.

We Start with the Complete Picture

We look beyond symptoms to identify the underlying cause of your sleep concerns rather than making assumptions based on symptoms alone.

Your evaluation may include:

  • A detailed discussion of your sleep habits and symptoms
  • Review of your medical history and current health conditions
  • Examination of the nose, throat, and airway when appropriate
  • Assessment of factors that may affect your breathing while you sleep
  • Recommendations for sleep testing when indicated

We Match Treatment to Your Needs

Once we understand what's affecting your sleep, we develop a treatment plan based on your diagnosis, symptoms, health, and lifestyle. Depending on your needs, your care may include

CPAP Therapy

Custom-fitted continuous positive airway pressure devices.

Inspire® Upper Airway Stimulation

An innovative, implantable technology for sleep apnea.

Oral Appliances

Custom-made mouthpieces designed to keep your airway open.

Surgical Management

Tailored ENT procedures to correct structural blockages.

Lifestyle Modifications

Targeted, practical changes to support healthy sleep cycles and improve other contributing factors.

Our goal is to recommend the treatment that's most appropriate for you, not simply the same solution for every patient.

Collaborative ENT Expertise

In some cases, many sleep disorders can be influenced by the structure of the nose, throat, and airway and need a physical, anatomical solution rather than just standard sleep therapies.

That's why our sleep medicine provider, Katie, works closely with our ENT physicians to ensure we are identifying and treating the exact structural root cause of your breathing and sleep disruptions under one roof.

Sleep Disorders We Evaluate & Treat

Our team evaluates a variety of conditions that interfere with healthy sleep, using specialized diagnostics to understand exactly what is disrupting your rest.

Difficulty Tolerating CPAP

If you've been diagnosed with OSA but find CPAP therapy uncomfortable or difficult to use consistently, we can evaluate your concerns and discuss alternative treatment options, including oral appliance therapy or Inspire® therapy for eligible patients.

Better Sleep Starts with the Right Evaluation

If poor-quality sleep, loud snoring, or symptoms of sleep apnea are affecting your health or daily life, don't ignore them. Our team at North Dallas ENT provides comprehensive evaluations and personalized treatment plans to help identify the cause of your sleep concerns and recommend the right treatment for your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a sinus specialist?

A sinus specialist is an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) doctor, who diagnoses, manages, and treats any disorders of the sinuses.  Your primary care doctor may diagnose you with sinusitis, and then refer you to a sinus specialist for further workup, diagnosis, and treatment for acute or chronic sinusitis.

When should I see a sleep medicine provider?

If you regularly experience loud snoring, excessive daytime fatigue, interrupted sleep, or suspect you may have sleep apnea, it's a good idea to schedule a sleep medicine evaluation. Persistent sleep problems shouldn't be ignored, especially when they're affecting your health or quality of life.

Does everyone who snores have sleep apnea?

No. While snoring is a common symptom of obstructive sleep apnea, not everyone who snores has the condition. An evaluation can help determine whether your snoring is related to a more significant sleep disorder.

Will I need a sleep study?

Not every patient requires a sleep study. Your provider will determine whether additional testing is appropriate based on your symptoms, medical history, and examination.

What if I can't tolerate CPAP?

CPAP isn't the right solution for everyone. Depending on your diagnosis and individual circumstances, other treatment options may be available, including Inspire® therapy, oral appliance therapy, lifestyle modifications, or treatment for airway-related conditions.

Is Inspire® therapy right for everyone?

No. Inspire therapy is designed for certain patients with obstructive sleep apnea who meet specific eligibility criteria. Your provider can determine whether it's an appropriate option based on your evaluation and diagnostic testing.
